Air Canada To Serve Delhi Via Zurich: "Air Canada has announced that effective October 30, 2005, it will serve Delhi via Zurich on a daily year-round basis from Toronto. The transfer of flights to India via Switzerland will allow Air Canada to re-introduce year-round service to Zurich while improving its schedule to India with an increase to daily flights from its current three-times weekly non-stop service from Toronto. In addition, Air Canada plans to pursue a codeshare agreement with future Star Alliance member, Swiss International Air Lines, by which SWISS would sell seats on a codeshare basis on the Air Canada-operated flights via Zurich. Tiger Airways To Fly To Cambodia
Tiger Airways, Singapore's low fare airline, has received permission from the Singapore aviation authorities to fly daily services to Cambodia and intends to start flying on this route shortly.
This will add the seventh country to Singapore's largest and most popular low fare airline which is currently flying to 10 cities in six countries (Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Macau SAR, The Philippines and Indonesia).

Fest am Huangguoshu-Wasserfall
Vom 16. August bis zum 22. September wird das "Huangguoshu-Wasserfall Fest 2005" stattfinden.
Die Wasserlandschaft am Huangguoshu ist seit langem eines der berühmtesten Bilder aus der südwestchinesischen Provinz Guizhou. Der 84 Meter breite Huangguoshu-Wasserfall fällt über 74 Meter in die Tiefe und schafft so eine der schönsten landschaftlichen Szenen des Landes.

40 Prozent mehr Touristen aus China in der Schweiz
Hotel- und Kurbetriebe wieder im Aufwärtstrend
Mit 40,6 Prozent mehr Feriengästen aus China und 30,2 Prozent mehr Gästen aus Indien beleben vor allem asiatische Gäste den Tourismus in der Schweiz. Auch aus Russland kamen bis März 20,6 Prozent mehr Gäste als im Jahr 2003 (letzter vergleichbarer Wert), wie das Bundesamt für Statistik BFS http://www.statistik.admin.ch heute bekanntgab.

Turnier der Giganten: Elephant Polo in Hua Hin
Nicht hoch zu Ross, sondern auf dem Rücken von Elefanten wird vom 05. - 11. September in Hua Hin der fünfte King´s Cup ausgetragen: Ein spektakuläres Poloturnier, das auch in diesem Jahr unter der Schirmherrschaft der World Elephant Polo Association (WEPA) und der Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) steht. Sponsor des Poloturniers ist wieder das Anantara Resort & Spa Hua Hin.
